Dell EqualLogic is a line of iSCSI storage area network (SAN) devices. EqualLogic was founded as an independent company in 2001 but was acquired by Dell Inc. for 1,400 million € in January 2008.
Depending on the model, Dell EqualLogic arrays contain hard disk drives (HDDs) or a combination of hard disk drives and solid-state drives. The arrays use 1-gigabit Ethernet (GbE) or 10 GbE connections. The Dell EqualLogic line is marketed to small and medium-sized businesses.
There are seven models in the Dell EqualLogic PS series: PS4100, PS4210, PS-M4110, PS6100, PS6210, PS6500, and the FS7600/7610 unified storage system.
They can be grouped into clusters of up to 16 arrays for a total potential capacity of more than 1.5 petabytes. The arrays offer features such as load balancing, redundancy, and automatic tiered storage.

intuitive interface– Support for server and desktop virtualization
It can be linked online with other EqualLogic PS Series enclosures in the same online SAN group; a maximum of 16 enclosures per group can support up to 384 drives and up to 1,536 PB with the PS6210 Series. With multi-generation capabilities, it can support up to 10 types of controllers from different generations with various network configurations and drive types in a new or existing PS Series SAN resource pool, all managed from a single interface. The maximum number of drives and capacity may vary depending on the configuration model and drive types. In addition, the PS and SC series offer common management and cross-enclosure, cross-platform replication capabilities, giving PS series customers the flexibility to add SC series enclosures to their environments, if they choose to do so.
