Juniper's next-generation routing
architecture provides the robust, reliable, and high-performance foundation on which today's critical real-time network applications can be delivered. MercadoIT offers a wide range of refurbished and new Juniper Networks routers for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as for service providers, system integrators, and institutions.
The 3D Universal Edge: MX Series routers (MX80, MX240, MX480, and MX960) are optimized for Ethernet and provide high-performance routing and switching with high port density in both the campus core and aggregation layers, in the data center core and aggregation, and at the WAN edge.
Why Buy Juniper MX Routers?
Juniper Networks' MX Series 3D routers are a family of high-performance Ethernet service routers that provide unmatched flexibility and reliability to support advanced services and applications. These Juniper routers function as Layer 2 switches, Layer 3 routers, or both simultaneously, and support advanced routing features such as MPLS network virtualization, low-latency multicast, QoS, and IPv6. The Juniper MX router series includes the MX80, MX240, MX480, and MX960 and is typically deployed in high-density campus, data center core and aggregation, and WAN edge environments.
The Juniper MX series of routers provides carrier-grade reliability, density, performance, capacity, and scalability for enterprise networks with mission-critical applications. Its high-availability features ensure that the network is always up and running. These features include Non-Stop Routing (NSR), Fast Redirect (FRR), and In-Service Software Update (ISSU).
In addition, Juniper MX routers offer significant operational efficiencies enabled by Junos OS, a flattened two-tier architecture that reduces energy consumption, cooling requirements, and space needs, as well as open APIs for easily customizable applications and services.
The Juniper MX router series enables enterprise networks to capitalize on the tremendous growth in Ethernet transport with the confidence that the platforms they deploy will have the performance and service flexibility to meet the challenges of their evolving requirements.
Features of the Juniper MX80 Router
- 80 Gbps capacity.
- Two form factors:
–MX80: 4x10GbE + 2 MIC slots (40 GbE ports) + 1 MIC slot for services. The Modular Interface Card (MIC) connects to the MPC to provide the physical interface for the MX80. Up to 2 MICs are supported per MX80, with a variety of 1GbE and 10GbE MICs available. The MX80-48T variant is a “fixed-port” version of the MX80 that features 48 1GbE ports instead of the 2 MIC slots. The MX80 and MX80-48T can be deployed on campuses, at small sites, and for WAN connectivity between small data centers.
–MX80-48T: 4x10GbE + 48 GbE ports + 1 MIC Services slot
- Redundant power supplies
Features of the Juniper MX240 Router
- Throughput capacity of 240 Gbps, 480 Gbps with a 16-port 10 GbE line card
- 3 DPC slots (2 with SCB redundancy)
- Full redundancy with dual routing engines, dual forwarding engines, and dual power supplies; redundancy provided by a graceful routing engine switch (GRES)
Features of the Juniper MX480 Router
- Throughput capacity of 480 Gbps, 1.4 Tbps with a 16-port 10 GbE line card
- 6 DPC slots
- Full redundancy with dual routing engines, dual forwarding engines, and dual power supplies; redundancy provided by a graceful routing engine switch (GRES)
Features of the Juniper MX960 Router
- Throughput capacity of 960 Gbps, 2.8 Tbps with a 16-port 10 GbE line card
- 12 DPC slots (11 with SCB redundancy)
- Full redundancy with dual routing engines, dual forwarding engines, and dual power supplies; redundancy provided by a graceful routing engine switch (GRES)
